Hearts & Stripes

A very quick shirt alteration today.

On a recent trip to the ole Walmart, Love Bug spotted this striped shirt on the clearance racks we were perusing and she ‘just loved’ it. As a lover of stripes myself, I agreed. And then my brain started clicking…

I cut hearts out of an old white t-shirt of MJ’s and ironed them to interfacing. I thought the interfacing would make them a little easier to sew on. Then I painted them with red fabric paint.

After they dried, I re-cut them from the interfacing and used a zigzag stitch to attach them to the shirt.

Blam. Done.

Bug was not feeling the photo shoot. But the outfit she put together with the shirt is so stylish (don’t know where she got that trait from). So she agreed.

She mildly cooperated. And then there was Sweet J….

Oh well. It gave me a good laugh.

Take care.
