Easiest Tutu…Ever

I must warn you.

There is an excessive amount of pink in this post.

Like an over-the-top, excessive amount.

But pink fabulous, right? Even an excessive amount of it.

I didn’t plan on making this tutu but my original idea for the tulle was a fail. But I loved the color so much I had to use it for something. A tutu skirt was plan B.

It really is the easiest thing ever.

Grab some elastic and sew it together, measured to fit your tutu-wearer. Cut the tulle into strips. I used 2 feet and 3 feet lengths, alternating them on the skirt. I used 4 spools of tulle, I think and I don’t remember how much, length-wise, that was. Don’t make me feel bad, my brain is tired. :)

Fold a strip in half and put the loop on one side of the elastic band with the tails on the other side.

Put the tails through the loop and pull.

Tighten it up.

Fill the elastic band to your preference.

The crazy girliness is out-of-control!! I just love the shape and the airiness. And did I mention the color?!

But just to keep you from going over the pink edge, the temporary tattoo Bug is sporting gives the photos a ‘rough-n-tough’ vibe, don’t you think? The placement of it makes me think of pirates. So glad it’s finally wearing off.

My little dancer.

I really want one for myself. I think it would add a whole lotta class and elegance to cleaning day.

Might have settle on borrowing this one.

Take care.
