More on Amy:

I was born and raised in Iowa and now reside in the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis with my husband, a hilarious and tolerant blue-eyed guy who I call MJ and our three children, Love Bug, Sweet J and Pipsqueak.

I’ve always had the passion to create; it’s part of my makeup. I grew up in a home where creativity was encouraged and I’ve just never stopped. I am so thankful for the opportunities this blog has afforded me and my family. Creating and scheming and dreaming, photographing and writing within my home is my dream job.

12 random things about me:

  1. I am the middle child of three.
  2. My favorite color is red.
  3. I love to clean and organize. I believe orderliness is a way of life.
  4. I almost died when I was 6-months-old from spinal meningitis. After having children, it’s so hard for me to imagine what my mom went through.
  5. I like to admire birds from far away but they scare me.
  6. My favorite books are: Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Partner by John Grisham, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers,  The Saving Graces by Patricia Gaffney and Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park.
  7. I changed my pre-med major to art in the freshman year of college. And my parents were supportive!
  8. I love to laugh. It’s one of my most favorite things to do.
  9. I don’t think I have a favorite food. It really depends on the day and how I’m feeling. However, I can always eat strawberries, peanut butter and something sweet.
  10. I could use about a week’s worth of solid sleep.
  11. If I never go anywhere else in the world, I want to go see the Pietà by Michelangelo. And since I’ll already be in Italy, might as well stop for a gelato or two.
  12. I love to sing and I can play the piano.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Hi Amy. This is one of the most interesting ‘About Me’s I’ve read:-) I love your positivity, it kind of shines through in your smile.

I’ve been trying to get your email id from your ‘Contact’ section but for some reason it’s throwing up an error.

Can I have your email id? There is a project I would like to discuss with you. Alternatively, you can also write to me directly if you like at iluvgifting@gmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you. Cheers!

  2. Hey Amy…it was so much fun & enlightening having lunch with you today at the YAYA Conference!! I will definitely be checking in on your blog from now on;-)

  3. Hi! Had a question about your photo transfers… do you get them printed somewhere or do you print them out on your own printer?
    Great blog!

  4. Hi Amy, I’ve only just found your blog, you have some lovely and inspirational ideas and i will definitely be visiting again and again. I especially love the gold polymer clay necklaces, they look incredible. (also a middle child of three, almost died at 6 months from a gangrenous intersuseption, have a serious sweet tooth that my waistline hates, complete neat freak and could do with a months worth of sleep or a good long holiday). Cant wait for the next post!
