Peeps Tees

Peeps Tees for Kids with free stencils! | this heart of mine

I don’t think I’ve ever actually eaten a marshmallow Peeps probably making me one of very few who haven’t consumed the color-saturated squishy treats. And since my brain is a steel trap, I’m sticking to my story. While their color is a bit off-putting in regards to eating (I mean, what kind of chemicals does it take to achieve that bright pink?), I do think the bunnies are very cute and I enjoy the projects I’ve seen using them. I hadn’t planned on creating a project of my own with Peeps until Love Bug turned to me the other day and asked if it was possible for me to make her an Easter-themed shirt. I think she requested eggs on the tee but it was soon after the move and I was still trying to get my brain to stop spinning so I’m not certain. My things were still in boxes so I told her I didn’t think I get it done for this year. But then, inspiration struck me and now we have Peeps tees

These tees took 10 minutes to make from cutting the Peep shape in the freezer paper to setting them aside so the paint could dry. It’s so simple. Since Easter is this weekend, this is a good thing.

Print the Peeps printable and choose which size fits best for your tee or enlarge/shrink as needed.

Trace the Peep shape onto the freezer paper and use a cutting blade to cut out the bunny.

Place in the center of a tee and go over it with a heated iron. Make sure the edges of the image are stuck in place to ensure clean edges.

Add your paint, and optional fabric medium. Add the Peeps eyes and nose dots with the handle end of a paint brush.

Allow the paint to fully dry and then peel off the freezer paper.

Wear and be ridiculously cute.
