A Pretty Package

I don’t know about you but I love getting packages in the mail. Card, letters, packages. Anything but bills. Boo for bills. To be honest, I usually forget when I order stuff so I’m doubly surprised when it arrives.

These booties were made with a certain soon-to-be-born baby girl in mind and I thought, as I prepared to send them on their way, I could pretty up the package a little.

To get the differing tones, I laid out my Cool Whip lid palette like this. A blob of the raspberry pink and a blob of the white at the top and then all the variations below.

I used a plain white box I had in my ‘collection’. Other box collectors understand. MJ doesn’t. :)

Using a rock hard pencil-end eraser, I started at the bottom with the straight raspberry color and worked my way up to a soft pink.

Very easy. Bug kept telling me that ‘we don’t paint with pencils’. Sometimes we do.

In go the booties.

Tucked in for the ride. Now I have to get to the post office….

I had some left over paint so I painted up another box. Ombre style.

I don’t have anything to send quite yet but this box will definitely take it up a notch.

Take care.
