Frothy Holiday Coffee with Holiday Stencils

There is something very comforting about a colorful mug full of hot coffee topped with white froth. Holding it between your palms, curled around the cup and, ideally, tucked beneath a blanket, it’s a recurring position when the weather turns cool, then cold, then frigid. It’s a happy place for me, one of the lovely… Read More

O paper bottle brush tree, O paper bottle brush tree, how lovely are thy layers of paper! For Design Mom, I made a collection of ADORABLE bottle brush trees with paper and a Cricut Express. Snowy Mugs

I wrote this last year and shared it on The Holiday Collective. I’m bringing it home to kick of this last month of the year.  Hot chocolate is a favorite winter beverage for me and my little ones. We don’t drink coffee – none of us is mature enough to enjoy the flavor – so… Read More

Orange You Glad? How to Naturally Dye Eggs Orange Hues

How to Naturally Dye Eggs Orange Tones | this heart of mine

I’ve been dying eggs all the colors of the rainbow, loving each color a little more than the last. Yesterday, I shared links to the blue, green and yellow dyes I used to color my eggs. Up now, the orange tones. We achieved light peach to deep tangerine, and lots in between with one simple, really… Read More

16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different fro 16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different from now on. It’s a good different but things won’t ever be like they were. What I don’t think is covered well enough in birthing/ parenting classes is this “growing up and away” business. The marvelous new being we brought home all too quickly rightly becomes her own person. And it’s fantastic. The personality, the perspective, the humor, the growth. It’s such an honor to watch her life unfold day by day. But I can’t deny that part of me misses the baby that fit in my arms and I do feel grief for the milestones yet to come. Part of me wants to freeze time to prevent any more changes but every change is a new bright unfolding. So here I’ll stay. Watching, marveling and loving this beautiful creature. ❤️
Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems like just yesterday that my sweet baby boy arrived, all squishy and snuggly. Now we stand nearly eye to eye and unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to get any taller. I’m so proud of the person he is and I’m excited for all that is to come. So thankful to be his mom. Love him so. ❤️
