Getting the Drop on Bleach

Getting the Drop on Bleach | this heart of mine

This site has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions, as always, are my own. #TotalBleachControl #CollectiveBias I’m not very good at doing laundry. I’m the kind of laundress who forgets loads in the washer for way too long, doesn’t pay particular attention to items that do better when taken out of… Read More

Tidying Up

Tidying Up | this heart of mine

Since I bring it up to almost everyone in person, I thought I should probably bring it up here. Have you heard about or read the book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up? It’s by Marie Kondo and details her Kon Mari Method for decluttering and organizing. I am a believer in creating an organized… Read More

Make Easy No-Sew Napkins

Make No-Sew Napkins - Perfect for a Summer Picnic! | this heart of mine

The weather is warm, the grass is green and growing, school is out and we are eating outside every chance we get. A bohemian at heart, I like the free-form nature of summertime, right down to our meals. You will find us eating on the patio, at the park down the street and especially at… Read More

Chipboard Mirror: Mirror Makeover

Chipboard Mirror | this heart of mine

When I brainstormed how to makeover this Wayfair mirror, I knew I wanted to add a sculptural element to it. I considered so many things from skewers, MDF, polymer clay and air-dry clay but I passed on all of them because I wanted this to be quick and easy and cheap. Then I remembered chipboard.… Read More

16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different fro 16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different from now on. It’s a good different but things won’t ever be like they were. What I don’t think is covered well enough in birthing/ parenting classes is this “growing up and away” business. The marvelous new being we brought home all too quickly rightly becomes her own person. And it’s fantastic. The personality, the perspective, the humor, the growth. It’s such an honor to watch her life unfold day by day. But I can’t deny that part of me misses the baby that fit in my arms and I do feel grief for the milestones yet to come. Part of me wants to freeze time to prevent any more changes but every change is a new bright unfolding. So here I’ll stay. Watching, marveling and loving this beautiful creature. ❤️
Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems like just yesterday that my sweet baby boy arrived, all squishy and snuggly. Now we stand nearly eye to eye and unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to get any taller. I’m so proud of the person he is and I’m excited for all that is to come. So thankful to be his mom. Love him so. ❤️

The box was delivered on its end so I was worried! But no need. Thank you Sky Garden by Phoenix. So happy with my new little greenies. ❤️
