Let’s Get Her To Camp

Summer camp is kind of a childhood right of passage. To hang in the woods with peers and counselors, fighting off mosquitoes, paddling canoes and buying treats from the canteen, it’s a memory-making experience. Nestlé Crunch has a campaign called Let’s Get Her to Camp and it’s all about getting more girls to camp, so… Read More

Endless Summer Projects: Outdoor Cooking with Kids

Today’s Endless Summer Projects post on outdoor cooking with kids could not be better timed. Love Bug, as of late, is showing big interest in all things related to meal prep. She wants to chop vegetables, crack eggs, measure ingredients and be involved in the actual cooking. I’m really excited about her enthusiasm, even if… Read More

Summer Memories with Wayfair

I spent the summer times of my youth in water. Pool water. We lived about a half a mile from the town pool and we went just about every day. First, mom would drive us down and back and when we got older, my sister and I would bike. And this was a big feat… Read More

Something New: Making Strawberry Jam

Over the holiday weekend, I tried something new. It’s not hard to figure out, if you take in the visual cues and the post title, so I’ll just come out and say it: I made my first batch of strawberry jam. All by myself. And it turned out deliciously. After we picked strawberries last Thursday… Read More

Endless Summer Projects: Firework Tablecloth

Hurray for the stars and stripes! Just in time for Independence Day, Alexandra Hedin has together a tutorial for a firework tablecloth the whole family can help with. It’s so fun! It will definitely add some pyrotechnic flair to your holiday fete. I’m really looking forward to taking the children to a fireworks display this… Read More

16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different fro 16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different from now on. It’s a good different but things won’t ever be like they were. What I don’t think is covered well enough in birthing/ parenting classes is this “growing up and away” business. The marvelous new being we brought home all too quickly rightly becomes her own person. And it’s fantastic. The personality, the perspective, the humor, the growth. It’s such an honor to watch her life unfold day by day. But I can’t deny that part of me misses the baby that fit in my arms and I do feel grief for the milestones yet to come. Part of me wants to freeze time to prevent any more changes but every change is a new bright unfolding. So here I’ll stay. Watching, marveling and loving this beautiful creature. ❤️
Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems like just yesterday that my sweet baby boy arrived, all squishy and snuggly. Now we stand nearly eye to eye and unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to get any taller. I’m so proud of the person he is and I’m excited for all that is to come. So thankful to be his mom. Love him so. ❤️
