Recipe: Pea Salad

For menu planning and recipe selection, I am one who is very affected by the temperatures outdoors. Hot and humid temps have me craving cold, little-to-no-cook-time items like the couscous salad, 4-layer pudding dessert, frozen fruit, lemonade slushies or ice cream (roasted raspberry crisp or macaroon ice cream sandwiches). A few weeks back we had… Read More

Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwiches

I have been in love with French macaroons ever since I saw my first box of the beautifully colored cookies. I was working an office job that I didn’t care for, however, the people I worked with traveled often and after one trip to Paris, someone brought back a lovely pink box filled with a… Read More

Things I’m Doing Instead of Blogging – Painting Outside

I’m not doing a very good job of keeping up right now. As a stay-at-home mom of little ones, summertime hasn’t been a big change in the way things happen around here so far. The weather is warmer and we go to the beach a lot but other than that, we are all together, all… Read More

16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different fro 16 🥳 My baby. ❤️ Life is going to be different from now on. It’s a good different but things won’t ever be like they were. What I don’t think is covered well enough in birthing/ parenting classes is this “growing up and away” business. The marvelous new being we brought home all too quickly rightly becomes her own person. And it’s fantastic. The personality, the perspective, the humor, the growth. It’s such an honor to watch her life unfold day by day. But I can’t deny that part of me misses the baby that fit in my arms and I do feel grief for the milestones yet to come. Part of me wants to freeze time to prevent any more changes but every change is a new bright unfolding. So here I’ll stay. Watching, marveling and loving this beautiful creature. ❤️
Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems Officially a teen. 🎉 Where does the time go. Seems like just yesterday that my sweet baby boy arrived, all squishy and snuggly. Now we stand nearly eye to eye and unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to get any taller. I’m so proud of the person he is and I’m excited for all that is to come. So thankful to be his mom. Love him so. ❤️
